Museum of London Medieval Utility Knife - Whittle Tang

Eric McHugh designed this knife based on examples found in the book Knives and Scabbards. The book details various medieval knives from excavations in London, which played an important role in medieval life. Our versions of these use-knive are hand ground from high carbon (5160 and 1095) steel and are individually heat-treated by Eric McHugh and Jason Dingledine. The whittle tang knife features a walnut grip with bronze fittings. This knife is a great authentic addition to any medieval costume.
