This is a photo taken by Peter Johnsson of a German painting depicting a saint,
dated from the very beginning of the 15th C., now in the Louvre, Paris.
The style of the belt attachment looks just like that of a sword in the Skokloster armouries
that is probably from the first half of the 14th C.
